The mind-body connection and META-Medicine

Ray Charles, Kylie Minogue, Diane Reeve (wife of Christopher Reeve) and my son … what do they have in common? Is it possible that they experienced a significant emotional event prior to becoming ill? Is there more to the mind body connection then we have believed? If you have read Deepak Chopra’s, Louise Hay’s and similar holistic books, then you are already aware of the mind body connection and emotional-mental  conflicts and disease. The newest holistic research, called META-medicine®, indicates there is way more to the mind body connection then has been known so far.

META-medicine® is based on a group of 10 principles and they seem to redefines our understanding of disease, healing and health completely. According to META-medicine®, there is not only a mind body connection but actually a very precise mind, body, spirit, social and environmental connection. Each area of our brain corresponds to a specific organ and a specific conflict or trauma and it all links into how we react in our environment, socially with others and spiritually as an person.

Researchers also found that specific stressful events, such as an rape, hearing horrendous news, losing an important job unexpectedly always precede disease. If we experience such a shock (an event that is unexpected, very dramatic and emotional) then our body reacts with what we call “disease” and symptoms like diarrheoa, eczema, back ache, can be the result. This understanding of how a disease works is truly  revolutionary, because it allows us to understand how a disease process begins and why therapies often do not work. But this is just the beginning. META-medicine® goes even further.

Every organ is directly related to a specific stressful event. For example the bowels are affected by us being angry with someone or something and not being able to digest what was said. The upper skin is affected by us experiencing the shock of feeling a total loss of contact with a loved one, lower back issues are all to do with the shock and realization that we don’t value ourselves as a person and let people walk all over us. This means mind-body connection is significantly more “hardwired and bio-logical organized” then we had previously thought.
